Vision Therapy is an individualized, supervised, treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies. To be a good reader, a good drive or a good athlete, one must master a complex set of vision skills, such as eye tracking, focusing visual perception and visual memory. If you have 2 or more of the following symptoms, you can benefit from Vision Therapy.
- Reading or working on the computer gives me headaches
- I often get sleepy while reading or using the computer
- I find it difficult remembering what I have read
- I often lose my concentration while reading
- Words appear to move or jump all over
- I experience periodical or constant double vision
- I am a slow reader
- I experience a "Pulling" sensation around my eyes while reading
- Words appear blurry and out of focus
- I frequently lose my place, or jump over letters & words
- I often re-read the same line again and again
- My reading comprehension is inadequate
- I dislike reading for fun or pleasure
- Compared to other activities, I have a short attention span while reading
- While playing sports, I have poor eye-hand coordination
- I have poor depth perception
- I learn better visually than verbally
